Yes, that's true.

I had yesterday the same problem configuring mine and wasn't
auto-configuring with the other nic.
I forced it, and it's working 100% (thanks for the help, people).

But, I used linux until I discover FreeBSD (the years I've lost !) and
the driver of linux has not this problem.
Or linux forced the same thing as me in the driver, or Greg Lehey is
right about the driver.
