I have a strange problem with Tandberg SLR 100 + dump(8) program. The drive operates normally with mt(1): the tape can be erased, rewinded, ejected and etc. But dump freezes on "PASS III - dumping directories" and the kernel writes the following message: (sa0:sym0:0:0:0): tape is now frozen- use an OFFLINE, REWIND or MTEOM command to clear this state. (sa0:sym0:0:0:0): READ POSITION. CDB: 34 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 (sa0:sym0:0:0:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:24,0 (sa0:sym0:0:0:0): Invalid field in CDB sks:c8,1 I have tried all combinations "eotmodel=1 or 2 + variable or fixed blocksize", but the behaviour of the dump(8) remains the same in all cases. I have running FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE on Tyan HEsl with integrated Symbios Ultra160 SCSI controller. Thanks, Sergey Proskurnya.
