Hello, I am currently backing up my boxes using GNU Tar. After cron runs the job every night I get the following output. What is the gid_t value? It seems as if all the files are there and I can recover them. However, this output worries me. Thanks for any fix suggestions. -Chris /usr/local/bin/tar: Removing leading `/' from absolute path names in the archive /usr/local/bin/tar: Removing leading `/' from absolute links /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: uid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: gid_t value 4294967294 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: mode_t value 16810404 too large (max=16777215) /usr/local/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors ***************************************************************** cron: The previous message is the standard output and standard error of one of the cron commands. ===== Chris Strzelczyk cstrzelc@yahoo.com chris4136@email.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
