Are you getting confused here with the DOS numbering of serial
ports? FreeBSD numbers from 0. sio0 == COM1, sio1 == COM2. IRQ3,
0x2f8 are the default values for sio1/COM2, not sio2.

If you haven't disabled sio1/COM2 then you've got a conflict here.
