I am not using the pkg_create program to create packages. I have been simply creating the files +CONTENTS, etc etc in the root directory of my package directory, then tgzipping the structure up. I don't know if this will make a difference or not.. The dependancy problem is not that big an issue for me as if I can run a shell script upon installation I can check for the package to be installed and abort if it is not...
