Hi, I'm having some problems related to weird window/work area set-up within XFce4. Below is a brief outline of the problem, will be happy to send more detailed information once I know what you require or just give you ssh access if you would prefer. Makefile lines as per Handbook. fce4x # $FreeBSD: ports/x11-wm/xfce4/Makefile,v 1.69 2003/07/28 18:25:07 oliver Exp $ xfce4-desktop # $FreeBSD: ports/x11-wm/xfce4-desktop/Makefile,v 1.3 2003/07/31 12:01:37 oliver Exp $ xfce4-panel # $FreeBSD: ports/x11-wm/xfce4-panel/Makefile,v 1.3 2003/07/31 12:01:37 oliver Exp $ xfce4-systray $FreeBSD: ports/x11-wm/xfce4-systray/Makefile,v 1.4 2003/07/31 12:01:37 oliver Exp $ xfce4-wm # $FreeBSD: ports/x11-wm/xfce4-wm/Makefile,v 1.2 2003/07/28 18:27:32 oliver Exp $ -Fresh install of FreeBSD 5.1 on Alpha1000a 5/300 -Xserver set up with tdfx driver for voodoo3 and working well with twm -I setup and ran CVSup as per Handbook -downloaded XFce4 source files & compiled, all went well during compilation. Have tried starting both from "startxfce" & .xinitrc, xfce comes up and the following problems arose. I cannot move windows vertically to or within the lower 2/3 of the screen, and can only see the bottom half of most windows as the rest is above the top of the screen. this happens also when a window is moved to another work area. Have looked at the documentation and tried various settings within Xfce but alas to no avail. Thanks Trevor Callow
