It was sold as a CDRW, the label on the unit says "8X CD-RW MODULE" and the boot message is: Apr 18 11:35:41 i4100 /kernel: acd0: CD-RW at ata1-master using PIO4 > As Brian suggested, try different CDR brands. Anyhow, I'll try and get one or more decent CD-RW disks, is Imation any good?
