What's that backslash for? DES didn't tell you to put that in the
regular expression. Quite why you are typing `find . -name "*"' rather
than just `find .', is also unclear.

Try,
find . | xargs grep "SYSCTL.*maxfiles"
(from /usr/src/sys of course)
