The X11/TODO wiki page (http://wiki.freebsd.org/Ports/X11/Todo) has not been updated since 2008 so it doesn't mention Mr. Belousov's recent work on KMS (or his request for additional involvement). Would the section below be a reasonable addition? Is the page still intended to be used? If so then I'll take a deeper look at it and the X11 Roadmap page - (http://wiki.freebsd.org/Ports/X11/Roadmap) to see if they can be cleaned up a bit. Patsy ====================================================================== KMS drivers: With the latest releases of Xorg and Mesa, hardware accelerated support for many older cards was dropped. For these cards Linux provides the following software accelerated KMS drivers that need to be developed for/ported to FreeBSD: GMA500 AST2300 MGAG200 generic fbdev All of these drivers use xf86-video-modesetting. contact: x11@freebsd.org =====================================================================
