'floating exception error'.

It's a recognized problem. I don't think there are any obvious fixes for
it.  Stick with the bsd Netscape 2.01 binary or try your hand with the
Linux binary if you're motivated to tangle with linux-emulation.  (FWIW,
The linux binary will get you Java support.)
