It was running BIOS version 4.0 before, now it is running 6.0 Now, an attempt to install 4.8-RELEASE hangs during the device scan at the beginning, right after saying: pci0 vendor=0x8086 dev=0x2483 at 31.3 irq 0 I tried disabling as much as possible during the kernel configuration, and tried disabling some odds and ends in the BIOS setup, like USB, none of which helped. Has anyone used this motherboard and 4.8-RELEASE with success ? I can successfully install 5.0, but it seems to have the same odd behaviour with the onboard adaptec...
