Subject: Are Jail and MySQL compatible?

I read this in the handbook:

"Jail is a very useful tool for running applications in a
secure environment but it does have some shortcomings.
Currently, the IPC mechanisms have not been converted
to the suser_xxx so applications such as MySQL can
not be run within a jail."

Is this still the case?
I am trying to set up a virtual hosting system
with Apache/MySQL. Can Jail do the job?

Thanks
