I doubt that Paul V. is listening - he doesn't read -hackers (and no wonder, with his workload). 2. The reason Paul doesn't recommend NCR based controllers is based around the simple fact that BSD/OS doesn't support them! :-) I'm told that support for it and the AHA2{7,8,9}4x is also forthcoming in a future release of BSDI.
