This card is supported by the xl driver, according to the hardware.txt file. However, upon bootup the kernel says the following: cbb0: mem 0x20821000-0x20821fff at device 2.0 on pci0 cardbus0: on cbb0 pccard0: <16-bit PCCard bus> on cbb0 pci_cfgintr_virgin: using routable PCI-only interrupt 11 pci_cfgintr: ROUTE_INTERRUPT failed. cbb: Unable to map IRQ... device_probe_and_attach: cbb0 attach returned 12 This results in the card not being recognised. I have done some searching on this issue and it seems that some folks have had success by disabling ACPI and enabling APM. However, this laptop is quite old and I don't even think it has ACPI. It's an IBM ThinkPad 770, with a Pentium 233 and 256MB of ram. I've tried both disabling and enabling ACPI in the loader.conf file, and it doesn't seem to make any difference as far as this IRQ routing issue goes. I have verified that the BIOS firmware is at the latest release, and there are no options in the boot setup menu dealing with anything remotely technical. It lets you set the date/time and the boot order, and that's about it. There are no options dealing with IRQs. I've pretty much tried everything at this point, so I'm afraid I'll have to give up and go with linux unless any Cardbus gurus can help me out. I've attached a copy of the dmesg output from a boot with the "-v" kernel option. That seems to be the requested item when questions like this are asked. Thanks in advance, Brian --------------85349291A963B96A4F448604 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; name="dmesg.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline; filename="dmesg.txt" Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD Project.
