Hi,

meanwhile, someone found a much simpler approach for liferea:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=243680
(of course, two hours after I filed my PR as the result from
digging backwards through webkit - "work smart, not hard" they
say).

If that passes the build, I'll be very tempted to commit this as
"trivial build fix". (Unfortunately, I didn't really pay attention
to order-of-operations and updated my jails with yesterday's security
patches before thinking about testing liferea... it will be a while.).
(The comment in that patch doesn't really match my experience, but
that can be adjusted iff the patch works).

So, this splits into two action items:
- make liferea build again via WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1
that's easy, not to say trivial - one line, doesn't change the
package at all, can be committed as soon as it has passed the
  build (even today?).
- make webkit more usable for wayland users - that introduces more
changes, including dependency changes for default OPTIONS.
  Maintainer? Koop?

Yay, progress!

Regards,
Christoph
