what a great idea! the oss-driver is so performance-consuming - it sucks. there are some great other envy24-chip-soundcards, like terratec ews 88mt or the famous hammerfall. If you would add an alsa/jack compatibility-layer (for use with ardour), I even would donate to you!! its time to get freebsd usable for realtime-applications, as audio and video-production-evironment!!! please keep me informed perhaps some links for you: http://vcc.urz.tu-dresden.de/~fleck/bookmarks/freebsd_audiovideo.html http://info.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/sound.html (outdated) http://www.linuxdj.com/mucos/intro.html http://people.FreeBSD.org/~faulkner/multimedia/mm.html (outdated) http://myweb.cableone.net/eviltwin69/Arcana.html (Linux) http://www.cs.duke.edu/~anderson/freebsd/maestro3xxx/ http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/developers-handbook/oss.html benny Am Wed, 19 Mar 2003 01:03:38 +0300 schrieb Lev Serebryakov <lev@serebryakov.spb.ru>: > Hello, hackers!
