Beforing messing more with : my wireless stuff I just wanted to make sure : FreeBSD supports this. IBSS creation works. I have two links that are using it. One link is a pair of lucent cards (well, they are old enough not to have it, so I guess I have only one linke). The other is a pair of PRISM2 cards. However, if you want a unix base station, don't use IBSS mode. It is poo for when you really want an access point. A prism2 card, with up to date firmware, and hostap works really well.
