This setup seems to work reasonably so far, except that I often get error messages like (scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Bad scbptr 255 during SELTO. (scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Referenced SCB 255 not valid during SELTO. SCSISEQ = 0x12 SEQADDR = 0xb SSTAT0 = 0x10 SSTAT1 = 0x8a during startup. This is not always the case, however--sometimes I get what looks like a success message: (scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Allocating initial 30 SCB structures. Are the error messages something that I should be concerned about? Further information: I'm running two Adaptec 2940UW controllers, and I use append="aic7xxx=reverse_scan,verbose" in my /etc/lilo.conf.
