Just some general advice - Actually mention what the PR is about (at least I know it's a new port since you say 'add'), and maybe some confirmation that you're sure it is PREFIX-clean, has a correct PLIST, passes portlint, and so forth, and you'll more likely motivate someone to look at it. Getting someone else to vouch for the PR (by replying to it, or whatever) saying similar things (It works, it has the proper dependencies, it uninstalls cleanly, &c.) is another idea.
