Thank you very much, Aaron and Robroy. The absolute path and the exact syntax "/us/home/alnis 10.0.0.5" solved the problem. showmount -e Exports list on localhost: /usr/home/alnis 10.0.0.5 Now I can also mount the share rw from 10.0.0.5 machine. -Alnis
