https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D217244 Bug ID: 217244 Summary: archivers/lzmalib: remove port? Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: eserte12@yahoo.de lzmalib installs /usr/local/lib/liblzma.so which conflicts with the base sy= stem /usr/lib/liblzma.so. This can cause problems, see for example https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D210626 and https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D209355 According to the research in these bug reports, the lzmalib port is needed = only by archivers/p5-Compress-Raw-Lzma and databases/tokyocabinet. I just tried = to build PMQS/Compress-Raw-Lzma-2.074.tar.gz directly from CPAN without the lzmalib port, and it worked (all tests passed), so it seems that at least p5-Compress-Raw-Lzma does not need the lzmalib port. Maybe the same is the = case for tokyocabinet. I think it would be good if the lzmalib port could be removed to reduce potential confusion. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
