Just out of curiosity, why this kind of connectivity? Are these "1-way" cable-modems widely available and commonly used? Sounds like something *I* would do.... making do with what I can scrounge up. ;) I'm not trying to be a smart-ass or derogatory here -- I'm intrigued! Do you connect to one upstream provider for both in/out-bound? Ah... the endless possibilities!
