In 2.2.5 a mortal was allowed to use idprio (with some restriction even for his/her own processes) but in 2.2.6 idprio is like rtprio--only the superuser may use it. This observed change is confirmed by a change in the manual pages for idprio/rtprio. Why was this change made? A user-accessible means of starting a truly low-priority proess was an important feature. (No, `nice' does not do that.)
