For FreeBSD 2.x look at ccd, for FreeBSD 3.x look at vinum... (i.e. man
ccd, or man vinum).

We've used CCD here for a couple of years under 2.2.x, and Vinum for the
best part of a year now... Both so far perform well... Take Vinum over
CCD if you can...
