If even trying to build it crashes the system then I can see why it was marked as forbidden, although it must be slightly more rare if it took several weeks to detect this bug in the 1.7.0_45 port upgraded on 8 Dec. Anyhow, it would be extremely useful if someone with inside knowledge of this bug could confirm the intersection of jdk/os versions which trigger the bug.
