I did make clean a few times, it won't install because the directory doesn't exist. If I create it it does install, although it is possibly using the wrong location... I haven't gotten in the habit of using marcuscom, but I generally like to get things out of the port tree, it's complicated enough keeping up to date there. On another note /usr/ports/editors/gnome2-office doesn't install because /usr/ports/graphics/dia dies due to a bad check for a version of FreeType > 2.0.9. I have 2.1.7 installed. ... checking PANGOFT2_LIBS... -Wl,--export-dynamic -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lpangoft2-1.0 -lfontconfig -lfreetype -lz -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -liconv checking for FT_Init_FreeType in -lfreetype... yes checking if FreeType version is 2.0.9 or higher... configure: error: Need FreeType library version 2.0.9 or higher ===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to gnome@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/graphics/dia/work/dia-0.92.2/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/graphics/dia. mvh# pkg_info | grep -i freetype2 freetype2-2.1.7_1 A free and portable TrueType font rendering engine mvh# X-Original-To: mvh@mvh.mine.nu From: Joe Marcus Clarke <marcus@marcuscom.com> Cc: FreeBSD GNOME Users <gnome@freebsd.org> Organization: MarcusCom, Inc. Something is messed up. That file should reside in etc/gtk-2.0 and not etc/gucharmap. Try doing a make clean for gucharmap. If that doesn't work, just get the package from http://www.marcuscom.com/tinderbox.
