To get Linux to work properly, you must intall LILO, but if you want to use the BSD bootloader, you have to install LILO to the Linux boot *partition* (or "slice" as BSD would say) rather than to the boot *sector* of the *drive*. If you don't install LILO at *all*, then the boot will fail when press the F-key for Linux. Which is because Linux can't load without the Linux loader.
