Things were hung until I did a kill -9 of sendmail Immediately affter that mail began flowing into /var/mail here on sage (NS1). My DNS server is rugged but slow and old; I want mail to flow over to tao.thought.org (10.0.0.247). I've tried *everything* in /etc/mail I can think of, but instead of going over to tao mail is delivered here. I also have 'kline' accounts on sartre.thought.org and ethic.thought.org. Same thing. Anything is delivered here. Does anyone have any insights? thanks much, gary Jul 18 21:39:17 sage sendmail[2993]: i6J4dH1l002993: from=kline, size=74, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200407190439.i6J4dH1l002993@sage.thought.org>, relay=root@localhost Jul 18 21:39:17 sage sendmail[2996]: i6J4dHs7002996: from=kline, size=64, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200407190439.i6J4dHs7002996@sage.thought.org>, relay=root@localhost Jul 18 21:39:17 sage sendmail[2997]: i6J4dH2v002997: from=, size=404, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200407190439.i6J4dH1l002993@sage.thought.org>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=smmsp@localhost [127.0.0.1] Jul 18 21:39:17 sage sendmail[2993]: i6J4dH1l002993: to=kline@tao.thought.org, ctladdr=kline (1001/1001), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=30074, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (i6J4dH2v002997 Message accepted for delivery) Jul 18 21:39:18 sage sendmail[3001]: i6J4dH2v002997: to=, ctladdr= (1001/1001), delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=local, pri=30674, relay=local, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent Jul 18 21:39:18 sage sendmail[2999]: i6J4dH2v002999: from=, size=390, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200407190439.i6J4dHs7002996@sage.thought.org>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=smmsp@localhost [127.0.0.1] Jul 18 21:39:18 sage sendmail[2996]: i6J4dHs7002996: to=kline@thought.org, ctladdr=kline (1001/1001), delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=relay, pri=30064, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (i6J4dH2v002999 Message accepted for delivery) Jul 18 21:39:18 sage sendmail[3003]: i6J4dH2v002999: to=, ctladdr= (1001/1001), delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, pri=30656, relay=local, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent Jul 18 21:40:52 sage sendmail[3009]: ruleset=check_relay, arg1=[218.13.209.251], arg2=218.13.209.251, relay=[218.13.209.251], reject=550 5.0.0 Nothing but spam from China -- Gary Kline kline@thought.org www.thought.org Public service Unix
