I was hardly being inflammatory.  Cutesy perhaps, but not inflammatory.  
DragonflyBSDs stated objectives are pretty much what the OP was talking 
about.  If ever get into multi/parallel computing I'll have a good 
reason to try it.  The OP is welcome to try it too.  If he didn't know 
about Dragonfly, let's tell him.
