Hi, I got a question here about syslogd : the syslogd seems to keep a track of its output files, such as maillog, maillog.0, etc.. I just don't understand how it decides when it's necessary to move up to a new file name (i.e. move maillog to maillog.0 and create a new maillog). Does anybody know the rules ? It's important for us to have the system logs as a whole part. -- Yen-Wei Liu Internet e-mail address:ywliu@beta.wsl.sinica.edu.tw ywliu@gate.sinica.edu.tw FAX: +886-2-783-6444
