There is a way, if you have compiled DDB in the kernel, but you have to be on the system console, and stop the running kernel with CTRL+ALT+ESC. The only way you can lower the securelevel on a machine that you don't have consle access *and* DDB compiled into the kernel is by tweaking the proper lines in /etc/rc.conf and rebooting.
