I am a newbie at building X11 on freeBSD6.2 machine. I got to the point that the sh /usr/ports/Tools/scripts/mergebase.sh script fails. Here is the output that I am not quite sure how to circumvent. I am not quite sure what to do with the files in "/usr/X11R6" please help --- snip --- Files that exist both in /usr/local and /usr/X11R6 have been found as shown above. Merging will not continue. While some such files are safe to remove as they will be regenerated (like /usr/X11R6/man/whatis), some you might want to move away somewhere safe, and some might point to conflicts in ports. For this script to continue, you need to either move these files away from /usr/X11R6 or delete them. If you don't know what to do about a particular file, ask on x11@FreeBSD.org mailing list. The list is saved in /tmp/mergebase.zCGKjqcc. access1# $X11BASE access1# make install clean ===> jdk-1.5.0.11p5,1 depends on executable in : gm4 - found ===> jdk-1.5.0.11p5,1 depends on executable in : zip - found ===> jdk-1.5.0.11p5,1 depends on file: /usr/local/lib/libXm.so - not found ===> Verifying install for /usr/local/lib/libXm.so in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/open-motif ===> open-motif-2.2.3_3 depends on file: /usr/local/libdata/pkgconfig/xbitmaps.pc - found ===> open-motif-2.2.3_3 depends on executable in : gmake - found ===> open-motif-2.2.3_3 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/libtool - found ===> open-motif-2.2.3_3 depends on executable in : pkg-config - found ===> open-motif-2.2.3_3 depends on file: /usr/local/libdata/xorg/libraries - not found ===> Verifying install for /usr/local/libdata/xorg/libraries in /usr/ports/x11/xorg-libraries /usr/X11R6 exists, but it is not a symlink.
