Hello Everyone, I juste compiled 2.0.34 (with the same configuration I used for 2.0.33) but this is a no go.. Upon bootup, the kernel probes the SCSI channels and then starts an endless loop of messages like this one: (SCSI1:-1:-1:-1) Bad scbptr 16 during SELTO (SCSI1:-1:-1:-1) Referenced SCB 255 not valid during SELTO. SCSISEQ = 0x5a SEQADDR = 0x8 SSTAT0 = 0x10 SSTAT1 = 0x8a It keeps scrolling and once every ten (or so) messages a different message appears, that includes: timeout pid27, scsi1, channel0, id 6, lun 0.... I've been using that machine with stable kernels for almost two years with my 3940 and I have added a 2940UW a year ago, no problems so far until 2.0.34... Any idea what's going on? cat /proc/scsi/scsi: Attached devices: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: QUANTUM Model: XP34550W Rev: LXY4 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00 Vendor: QUANTUM Model: XP34550W Rev: LXY4 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 03 Lun: 00 Vendor: PLEXTOR Model: CD-ROM PX-6XCS Rev: 1.03 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00 Vendor: HP Model: C2520A Rev: 3503 Type: Processor ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 04 Lun: 00 Vendor: NEC Model: CD-ROM DRIVE:502 Rev: 2.0r Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00 Vendor: HP Model: C1533A Rev: A612 Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi2 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: QUANTUM Model: XP39100W Rev: LXY4 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi2 Channel: 00 Id: 03 Lun: 00 Vendor: FUJITSU Model: M2512A Rev: 1312 Type: Optical Device ANSI SCSI revision: 02 cat /proc/scsi/aic7xxx/0: Adaptec AIC7xxx driver version: 4.1.1/3.2.1 Compile Options: AIC7XXX_RESET_DELAY : 15 AIC7XXX_TAGGED_QUEUEING: Disabled AIC7XXX_PAGE_ENABLE : Disabled AIC7XXX_PROC_STATS : Disabled Adapter Configuration: SCSI Adapter: Adaptec AHA-394X SCSI host adapter (AIC-787x chipset) Host Bus: Single Base IO: 0xff00 Base IO Memory: 0xfbfff000 IRQ: 11 SCBs: Used 2, HW 16, Page 16 Interrupts: 3423 Serial EEPROM: True Extended Translation: Enabled SCSI Bus Reset: Enabled Ultra SCSI: Disabled Disconnect Enable Flags: 0xff cat /proc/scsi/aic7xxx/1: Adaptec AIC7xxx driver version: 4.1.1/3.2.1 Compile Options: AIC7XXX_RESET_DELAY : 15 AIC7XXX_TAGGED_QUEUEING: Disabled AIC7XXX_PAGE_ENABLE : Disabled AIC7XXX_PROC_STATS : Disabled Adapter Configuration: SCSI Adapter: Adaptec AHA-394X SCSI host adapter (AIC-787x chipset) Host Bus: Single Base IO: 0xfe00 Base IO Memory: 0xfbffe000 IRQ: 12 SCBs: Used 1, HW 16, Page 16 Interrupts: 20 Serial EEPROM: True Extended Translation: Enabled SCSI Bus Reset: Enabled Ultra SCSI: Disabled Disconnect Enable Flags: 0xff cat /proc/scsi/aic7xxx/2: Adaptec AIC7xxx driver version: 4.1.1/3.2.1 Compile Options: AIC7XXX_RESET_DELAY : 15 AIC7XXX_TAGGED_QUEUEING: Disabled AIC7XXX_PAGE_ENABLE : Disabled AIC7XXX_PROC_STATS : Disabled Adapter Configuration: SCSI Adapter: Adaptec AHA-294X Ultra SCSI host adapter (AIC-788x chipset) Host Bus: Wide Base IO: 0xee00 Base IO Memory: 0xf9fff000 IRQ: 14 SCBs: Used 2, HW 16, Page 16 Interrupts: 13766 Serial EEPROM: True Extended Translation: Enabled SCSI Bus Reset: Enabled Ultra SCSI: Enabled Disconnect Enable Flags: 0xffff To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe aic7xxx" in the body of the message
