There is no mention of it on the vim website. It seems to be a FreeBSD thing. The link to the sources on the ports page leads nowhere: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/pds.cgi?ports/editors/vim-lite And the Makefile seems very basic: http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/editors/vim-lite/Makefile?rev=1.11&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup It looks like vim-lite has no dependencies whereas vim has several requirements.
