hi guys, i always have been careful to pkgdb -u and pkgdb -F after every install, but since like two months the portupgrade tools have stopped working, as an example: dhcp-93-1# pkgdb -F [Updating the pkgdb <format:bdb1_btree> in /var/db/pkg ... - 314 packages found (-31 +87) (...)Invalid argument: Cannot update the pkgdb!] dhcp-93-1# pkgdb -u [Updating the pkgdb <format:bdb1_btree> in /var/db/pkg ... - 314 packages found (-31 +87) (...)Invalid argument: Cannot update the pkgdb!] dhcp-93-1# portversion | more this happen just when trying to portupgrade or using pkgdb, usint another port tools like, portsversion half worked until dependencia problems crawled in. normal pkg tools like pkg_info or pkg_version works flawlessly. does anyone have a good idea how to fix it? would be possible to reconstruct /var/pkg/db from scratch if it was the problem? or i am fux0red? Any help will be appreciated? Regards, Gerardo P.S.: and i don't want to reinstall everything To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
