Do I wish I had an Alpha to run FreeBSD on! The last I asked the Digital sales
rep here named a price of Rs 6,25,000/- for a 21164 box.  Thats a *lot* of
money here.

Let me phrase the question better: "what mechanism do we have in -ports to
handle environment dependencies like a.out vs. ELF (and x86 vs Alpha)"?
