Hi I've got a FreeBSD 3.0-RELEASE machine with a hard disk that I am going to do some work on to upgrade it to FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE, and i'd like to take an image of the file systems on it. Is it possible for me to dd (copy) the following file systems off: Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/wd0s1a 31743 18697 10507 64% / /dev/wd0s1f 5952717 473236 5003264 9% /usr /dev/wd0s1e 29751 2153 25218 8% /var and then proceed to mount them on another machine (read only) with a vn? What would be the commands to do this? Thanks -- Matthew Luckie kluckie@ihug.co.nz To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
