Folks-

I am trying to make use of one of those nasty 3Com boards via the UTP
port.

However, I can't seem to set a route to my gateway.

I have rebuilt the kernel, such that the device probes.

I have applied the funky 'link' options as per the ep(4) manpage.

But, when I try to add the route, all I get is 'network is
unreachable'.

I've pored over the FAQ, the manpages for route, ifconfig, and ep, as
well as the mailing list archives for -question, and -hackers, but to
no avail.

This card, with these settings, does work under Dos95 and NT, so I'm
confident the hardware works.

I below have introduced what I hope is useful information, so if anyone
can help me dig this out, I'd appreciate it...
