I have just now, after many reboot attempts, been able to read the message
as it scrolls by.

boot: boot device name does not contain ethernet address.

Reading the source, I can see what to do.  I may need to use 'setnetbootinfo'.
How do I do this when I have no alpha system from which to do it ;)
