Please give it a try and see if it resolves this problem. However, I am not so sure any more that this is it. I think that there is a better chance of avoiding this issue if you use one of the two ways mentioned in the freebsd-java list to fix the libz issue: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-java/2005-October/004570.html Regards, Panagiotis
