We run 2.1.0-R on the follwing gear:

Our link to the Internet is through an Ascend P50 (2B+D), generally up all
the time, but not necessarily both channels.
wu-ftpd.2.4 is our daemon, and we have a few private accounts setup for the
more nervous of our customers. Some of them have been reporting for the
last few weeks that their transfers are noticeably slow or timeout.
Some of these are new customers, some aren't; particularly the older
customers have noticed a change, but I'm unable so far to pin it down to
anything on the machine. There have been no changes to any running software
that I'm aware of, and I can be dealing with a problem connection at the same
time someone else is flying along -- there are seldom more than 3 connections
at any one time.
traceroute has turned up something noticeable, however: almost invariably the
problem connections are a dozen or more hops away, and generally involve one
of the coastal nightmares. They generally are also behind firewalls.
Included are a couple of listings for the more buggy ones, along with one
for Walnut Creek.
I'm trying to figure out what I can fine-tune, or at least explain to these
people, some of whom are beginning to look fondly back on modems (shudder).
Any insight will be greatly appreciated. I'm still a little unclear (even
after man traceroute) about the 3 time fields, and which one indicates the
most likelihood of a problem.
