No Plug-n-Play devices were found this is on a box that has pnp things in it that get probed by the kernel and work successfully. i have plenty of time to dig, so eventually i'll figure it out, but it would be more fun to get a pointer and go directly to the meat of the problem, since i really am interested fixing midi support and this is just an interesting side trip. my guess is that some structure that has been altered in the kernel src wasnt ported to pnpinfo. any suggestions appreciated... tnx! johnu -- John L.
