I have the exact same issue here, when I build 2.3.1 in ports, I get this error whenever I save a doc or sometimes even open a doc: >/ (process:67964): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: gtype.c:2242: initialization assertion failed, use IA__g_type_init() prior to this function />/ />/ (process:67964): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed />/ />/ (process:67964): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_new: assertion `G_TYPE_IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed />/ After this error, the software just hangs, has to be manually killed. / Looks like its the exact same issue as here: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-openoffice/2007-December/003453.html I noticed that a patch was made to fix it: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-openoffice/2007-December/003464.html Any chance this will be put into the port? This is rather an annoying problem :) -- Kris Moore PC-BSD Software
