Hello. In a few days I'll be upgrading an 11.3/amd64 installation to 12.1 via sources. While 11.3 had the WITH_KERNEL_RETPOLINE macro, 12.0 also adds WITH_RETPOLINE (for userland). AFAICT these are not enabled by default. Should I use them? Are they experimental or ready for production use? Must they be used together? Is there something similar for ports and/or Poudriere? If any/all of the above are set, is there still any point in keeping hw.ibrs_disable=0? Other things I've missed? bye & Thanks av.
