Does section 13.1.8 say "last updated Sun Sep 7, 1997" ?  If not, the 
version on cdrom.com is out of date :-(  If it does, I'm not sure 
what the story is with the dates.

The version at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook.html is up to 
date for sure though.
