I have fixed this myself - sorry! I noticed that I had libglade-0.16_3 as well as libglade-0.16_4 in /var/db/pkg. So I tried pkg_delete libglade-0.16_3 cd /usr/ports/devel/libglade make deinstall make reinstall cd /usr/ports/mail/mutt make clean make && make install I now have a working mutt.
