Cups puts lp*-files in /usr/local/bin and you have to
remove the lp*-files in /usb/bin before you can use
cups.

If NO_LPR= true is commented out in /etc/make.conf
(not activated) the base-lp* will be put back during a
make world and thus prevent cups from being used.

Cups is easier for me since I haven't used printcap
very much, webbased interface etc.
