Wouldn't this fail if version is parsed with regex?

    # from mysql
    ELSEIF(CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME MATCHES "FreeBSD")
      STRING(REGEX MATCH "[0-9]+\\.[0-9]+" VER "${CMAKE_SYSTEM_VERSION}")
      SET(DEFAULT_PLATFORM "${CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME}${VER}")
