It can be done.(have done it with Mandrake on a laptop
that just had a network card).
In the windows box set up internet connection sharing
and give the network card to your private lan an IP
and net mask.
On the Freebsd box, give it an IP from the private
lan,netmask, and make the gateway the ip address of
the card(private lan) in the windows box.

Windows ADSL-Public IP from ISP 
Windows NIC -Private Ip 10.0.0.1 
            -Netmask 255.255.255.0
Freebsd NIC -Private Ip 10.0.0.2
            -Netmask 255.255.255.0
            -Gateway 10.0.0.1
