https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D275849 Bug ID: 275849 Summary: Feature request: freebsd-update reinstall Product: Base System Version: 14.0-RELEASE Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: kit-ty-kate@outlook.com When the part of the upgrade to a newer release of FreeBSD fails (see for example https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D275847 ), there= seems to be currently no way of installing the missing files other than by copying them manually from freebsd-src or similar sources. To fix that I propose a new subcommand to freebsd-update: reinstall. Calling `freebsd-update reinstall` would force reinstallation of the current release, making sure every files and directories are correctly installed in= the process. Such subcommand could also be called `fix` or something of the sort if you prefer. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
